hello guys . It's been a very long time since i wrote anything because I was really out of ideas .. but heey there's a lot to gossip about right now lol . I guess all of you who are still in the univeristy have witnessed the situation now after jeddah's flood .. and what happened this tuesday was really hilarious and it honestly added some action to the atmosphere =p ..
the sky has started to become cloudy since 11 am , but we can't skip any classes or sessions because education is the main purpose and concern in our lives , so what if we risked our lives for the sake of learning ?? right ?? :S lol , people have noticed it but still everything was going smoothly as any other day .. around 2 pm , it was broadcasted in the news that a heavy rain was expected anytime this day .. and suddenly it all happened .. people started yelling and panicking .. someone was actually walking around yelling ( please within half an hour the university must be evacuated !! it's an order from upper hand people that all the sessions must be cancelled ) everyone wanted to leave to their homes .. chaos was everywhere .. cell phones ringing like crazy .. black berry's are goin wild with broadcasts announcing that everyone must be at their homes .. personally everyone was calling asking me where I am because they were worried about me .. wich added more to my anxiety lol .. I admit I was from the people who panicked =p .. I have seen weird statuses in the bbms that said ( I don't wanna die !! ) lool .. I went downstairs to get to the car and a huge number of people standing there just waiting for their cars to arrives .. and of course the guys just grabbed their keys and left , as simple as that :s .. the tension has increased and the negative aura was everywhere .. thank god I got out of that place .. and eventually after everyone left to their homes nothing happened loool the rain was at night .. well it was an adventure worth writing about because it was really funny when I think about it .. I really hated that fact that they didn't think ahead and made us leave early when they first discovered the cloudy weather .. but education is more important than our lives !! after all it was an exaggerated over-reaction that wasn't necessary .. i guess people here in jeddah had become over sensitive of this matter .. some may stay at their homes afraid to drown if they saw a rain drop or heard from someone that it's raining somewhere else in jeddah .. what happened was really tragic and it occured all of the sudden and was totally unexpected so i guess we do have the right to get irritated from any rainy day .. stay tuned for my next post about what happened after the rain ;)

I think the school would like to have a sacrefice. Somthing to say that we respect knowledge and scince :P and our students sacrefice thier lifes for that purpose.
IRONIC.
I've another story for that day.
I went to the school to help my sister in that ppl flood (milions of girlz were there) and sudenly I got 7 girlz in my car. I thought they are my sister's friends. I could say that I'm sure now that they r not her friends coz no one call her be her name.
The funny thing that one of them said (It the same either in the collage or home. We will sink on the flood in the end).
IRONIC
ex-student :P
back on commenting after a long time LOOL :)
about that day :
actually we completed the session (it's 6th year :P) without any problems Al7amdillah , but there were some funny things that happened, one of the students got 4 us some supplies from the cafeteria in case we are trapped, and an another one wrote a list 4 whom is getting on the helicopter first if the school is gonna drown LOOOOOOOOOL :) simply it was hilarious.
but everything then went smoothly :)
looking 4 other gossips
actually i miss ur writing
:)

Hold on a second, that's a bit unfair because it implies selfishness and cowardice on the males' part... It's as if you're expecting every guy to walk to the females and offer them lifts!
Don't forget that KSA has a very unique social structure. As a male in this country, it's very unpredictable and subjective what is socially appropriate and what isn't in the context of (public) boy-girl contact.
Just as an example, there's been numerous times in university where I'd keep the elevator on hold for a boy/girl to enter with me, but quite often to my surprise I'd see the girl stand back and refuse entering the elevator because she doesn't want to be (seen) alone with a random guy.
Likewise, there were plenty of times I've seen stranded girls who were obviously in need of a lift. Do I politely ask them if they need a ride? Obviously not, cos that would be regarded as harassment in our social setting.
I understand that "drastic times call for drastic measures". But how are we to know that a mistimed and exaggerated weather forecast throws all of the Saudi norms out of the window? Keep in mind that at the time of the alert the weather was still dry and the rain was not imminent. So there was probably enough time for drivers and family members to pick the girls up.
Do you honestly think that most guys of your university ( who are regularly called "desperate") would've minded to help evacuate girls from the university?
well placenta .. you misunderstood me btw .. I'm sorry if I offended you but what I meant is that it was easier for you guys to leave .. while we got stuck waiting for our drivers or family members .. i just hate the system here and wished we had cars to just leave simply because some got stuck waiting while their drivers were busy or unavailable which is not fair in my opinion .. righ ?? If we were like any other country in the world everything would be just easier .. I wasn't implying that you were supposed to give us rides :)) because you're right and we actually have boundaries here in girls/ boys public interactions
LOL soso you were really panicked that day! seriously you should get over ur chicken-ness :P
Personally my patient was in my clinic & her father said he won't leave if I wasn't leaving, & to be honest I was so willing to finish the session & get POINTS on my work but since our damn college is full of chickens they all asked us to leave!
And Ironically the rain showed up at 8 pm! ppl enough with the rain fear!!
as
[ ربنا سبحانه وتعالى قال : [ قل لن يصيبنا الا ما كتب الله لنا
ya3ni if u're in ur bed under ur cozy covers & god says u'll die, u'll die!
Chickens! lol
Fair enough, Soso...
I agree that women driving is a necessity. It will be complicated at first with people's mentality and the added traffic jams, but I think everything is difficult in the beginning.
Either way, good luck!
