popularity is it good or bad??

i was thinking that day of popular people in college ... and it made me think what made them popluar ?? i was trying to link it with the high school movies which descriminate between the cool popular kids and the geeks =P .. but it doesn't work that way lool .. i figured we're all geeks and we're all together in this .. i discovered popular kids are the ones who have obvious characters .. like they have a sense of humor or they are the social kind who have connections and knows everyone.. or have their own distinguished style that made them special .. these people walk around and they know that everyone is looking at them and recognizing them .. they know they have the spotlights .. even all the doctors knows their name and their quality of work and their grades .. is this an advantage or disadvantage ??? when i think of it .. sometimes it occur to me what if i was one of these people .. i wouldn't really like it to be honest coz if you're not there or you thought of skipping a clinical session the doctors will notice and wonder where have you been .. if you're late they'll catch you coming in late =P .. if you wanna sleep in the lecture -> forget it , it's a really bad idea !!! .. coz they'll notice .. if you thought of doing anything someone will catch you and the words will spread about you ... so you should be cautious all the time coz people recognize you and they're watching you ...
on the other hand , being well known by the doctors can be useful , coz they would help out people they know more than the unknown people .. IF they like them of course .. you can contact them to know your mistakes or know your grades in a quiz for example .. get recommendation letters that could help you out in the future .. but when you think about it , eventually at the end of the year when they grade the exam papers they don't see the names ... and you're graded with what you have in the paper .. so everyone is treated equally and they're being fair with everyone wethere ur popular or not ..
so why do i want the spotlight??

lool i'm sure you all know what the hell i'm talking about ... if you don't you should go to the second floor and check the big blue wall of china that they placed there in between the males and females ... really it's useless coz it makes you wonder what's behind it .. when it's not there you wouldn't really care to look the other way .. but a human nature is what's forbidden is what you really want the most .. as they they say ( كل ممنوع مرغوب ) lool .. and i beleive in this saying .. first they moved the guyz to the same floor as the girls to make it easier for the doctors .. then ooh they realized they can actually see each other since they share the same reception .. so they placed this biiig partition in the middle of the reception which made it smaller than it is .. it was funny at the beginning lol .. then they moved the females reception far away so they won't come near that area .. i thought that was enough ,, but no the new development this week is the partition between the two elevators :P loool females can only use the right one and the males uses the left .. i dunno what's their next step ??? let's wait and see
some girls took it personally lol .. they thought they're doing this as part of accusing them of trying to check out the guys .. and the guys thought the same .. well it's stupid and what's more stupid is when we're interns we're allowed to sit together and communicate and work together as teams loool
weird people ... strange rules but we have to obey them anyways .. it's not like we have any other choice

So I'm back, I really missed this place, I thought it was just a phase, a reaction to the stress but now as I type these words I notice this feeling that I really truly missed this place.
We've decided, both of us me & soso, to change the title to "Dental Gossip" because.... well we have our reasons :P.

Let's talk about the new trend we've got in or college shall we ?
we're all supposed to wear the same color, style, shape, (and size if they had a hand in it!), and this hideous color it's as if we're like preschoolers or something. I know and almost everyone else too that every working place has a dress code.. but not a dress color! or are they just jealous of grey's anatomy, they all were those ugly scrubs to show how cute they are?!
We've became this known group wherever we go.. Dental people wear navy scrubz! it's like we're labeled!!!
serious invasion of our individuality I must say.. and a little tip I learned lately..
this whole scrubz idea was inspired by a little group of known students that started the business with this particular scrub company a year ago.. one must think that for sure their intentions was to calm dawn the "Ministry" that mentioned our college on it's all so empty agenda !!

I know it's like ancient news.. but I had to say it out loud and spit it!
